On International Museum Day 2025 — an event coordinated by the City of Bologna and the Bologna Civic Museums Department — UniCredit Art Collection and Haltadefinizione, tech company of Gruppo Panini Cultura, present a new project that enhances the bank’s art collection by uniting art and technology.

In the historic headquarters of Palazzo Magnani in Bologna, the ultra-high resolution digitization of The Stories of the Foundation of Rome will be presented. This renowned fresco cycle was painted by the Carracci between 1589 and 1592.

Haltadefinizione’s digital photography included over 7,300 single-frame and 360° shots. This project is an important new chapter in the process of digital preservation of artistic heritage, following the 2024 initiative dedicated to Dosso Dossi’s The Awakening of Venus.

The frescoes are now accessible to the public through new digital platforms, offering further proof of the synergy between UniCredit and Haltadefinizione in promoting art through technology.

Throughout the day, visitors will also be able to enjoy an immersive experience in the Quadreria of Palazzo Magnani. An interactive journey curated by Haltadefinizione, where touchscreen systems will allow visitors to explore every detail of the pictorial cycle in ultra-high resolution.
